NAME¶
cron_now - utility to run cron routines immediately
SYNOPSIS¶
cron_now
¶
cron_now is a utility to launch cron routines immediately. The source of this command was derived from the source of the command cron, but any sleep commands were stripped out; so, when cron_now is launched, the system behaves quite exactly as one minute is passed for cron.
The cron_now utility may be useful for sysadmins willing to check modifications in a crontab. It is also used for automated tests which are run during the build of cron's package.
