\&\fBdh_installxfonts\fR is a debhelper program that is responsible for
registering X fonts, so their corresponding \fIfonts.dir\fR, \fIfonts.alias\fR,
and \fIfonts.scale\fR be rebuilt properly at install time.

Before calling this program, you should have installed any X fonts provided
by your package into the appropriate location in the package build
directory, and if you have \fIfonts.alias\fR or \fIfonts.scale\fR files, you should
install them into the correct location under \fIetc/X11/fonts\fR in your
package build directory.

Your package should depend on \fBxfonts-utils\fR so that the
\&\fBupdate\-fonts\-\fR\fI*\fR commands are available. (This program adds that dependency to
\&\fB${misc:Depends}\fR.)

This program automatically generates the \fIpostinst\fR and \fIpostrm\fR commands needed
to register X fonts. These commands are inserted into the maintainer
scripts by \fBdh_installdeb\fR. See \fBdh_installdeb\fR\|(1) for an explanation of how
this works.
