.Sh DESCRIPTION
The
.Fn Mat_LogInitFunc
function installs the caller-provided logging callback
.Fa log_func
and records
.Fa prog_name
for log message prefixes.
It also resets verbose and silent logging state.
The
.Fa log_level
argument passed to the callback uses the
.Dv MATIO_LOG_LEVEL_*
bit flags defined in
.Pa matio.h .
