The short answer is, do not use \fBquery()\fR.
\&\f(CW$resolver\fR\->\fBsend()\fR will always return the response packet,
as long as a response was received.

The longer answer is that \fBquery()\fR is modeled after the \fBres_query()\fR function
from the libresolv C library, which has similar behavior.
