rfio_read - reads in a fileSYNOPSIS¶

int rfio_read (int s, void *ptr, int size);
DESCRIPTION¶
rfio_read reads in the file and store in ptr, a pointer to the memory location in which to place the information, size bytes, using the descriptor s generated by a previous rfio_open.RETURN VALUE¶
This routine returns -1 if the operation failed or the number of bytes actually read. In case of failure, serrno is set appropriately.ERRORS¶
- EBADF
- s is not a valid descriptor.
- SENOSHOST
- Host unknown.
- SENOSSERV
- Service unknown.
- SETIMEDOUT
- Timed out.
- SEBADVERSION
- Version ID mismatch.
- SECONNDROP
- Connection closed by remote end.
- SECOMERR
- Communication error.
- SENORCODE
- Host did not return error number.
