Usage: gdal raster overview delete [OPTIONS] <DATASET>
Deleting overviews.
Positional arguments:


  --dataset <DATASET>                Dataset (to be updated in-place, unless --read-only) [required]
Common Options:


  -h, --help                         Display help message and exit


  --json-usage                       Display usage as JSON document and exit


  --config <KEY>=<VALUE>             Configuration option [may be repeated]


  --progress                         Display progress bar
Options:


  --external                         Delete external overviews
Advanced Options:


  --oo, --open-option <KEY>=<VALUE>  Open options [may be repeated]

For most file formats (including GeoTIFF or GeoPackage), the space previously occupied by the removed overviews may not be reclaimed. It might be needed for use gdal raster convert to create a new compact dataset.
