開発元 (upstream) に入っている changelog ファイルはオプションとしても指定できます。何も指定しない場合、changelog とおぼしき名前を持つファイルを探しに行きます (これは互換レベル v7 以上で行われます)。

開発元 (upstream) の changelog ファイルがある場合、パッケージビルドディレクトリ中に usr/share/doc/package/changelog としてインストールされます。

If the upstream changelog is an html file (determined by file extension), it will be installed as usr/share/doc/package/changelog.html instead. If the html changelog is converted to plain text, that variant can be specified as a second upstream changelog file. When no plain text variant is specified, a short usr/share/doc/package/changelog is generated, pointing readers at the html changelog file.

これらのファイルは、パッケージビルドディレクトリ以下の usr/share/doc/package/ 配下に自動的にインストールされます。

package が異なる NEWS や changelog ファイル名を使う必要がある場合は、パッケージ固有の名前を指定してください。

 F<changelog> ファイルは native パッケージ向けには changelog の名前でインストールされ、非 native
パッケージ向けには F<changelog.Debian> としてインストールされます。F<NEWS> は必ず F<NEWS.Debian>
の名前でインストールされます。
    

オプション¶

-k, --keep

Keep the original name of the upstream changelog. This will be accomplished by installing the upstream changelog as changelog, and making a symlink from that to the original name of the changelog file. This can be useful if the upstream changelog has an unusual name, or if other documentation in the package refers to the changelog file.

-Xitem, --exclude=item

item をファイル名に含む開発元 (upstream) の changelog ファイルをインストール候補から除外します。

このファイルを開発元 (upstream) の changelog としてインストールします。
