DESCRIPTION

fence_ipmilanplus is a Power Fencing agent which can be used with machines controlled by IPMI. This agent calls support software ipmitool (http://ipmitool.sf.net/).

WARNING! This fence agent might report success before the node is powered off. You should use -m/method onoff if your fence device works correctly with that option.

The fence agent accepts options on the command line as well as from stdin. Fenced sends parameters through stdin when it execs the agent. The agent can be run by itself with command line options. This is useful for testing and for turning outlets on or off from scripts.

Ciphersuite to use (same as ipmitool -C parameter)
Hexadecimal-encoded Kg key for IPMIv2 authentication
IP address or hostname of fencing device
TCP/UDP port to use for connection with device (Default Value: 623)
Use Lanplus to improve security of connection (Default Value: 1)
Method to fence (onoff|cycle) (Default Value: onoff)
Login password or passphrase
Script to run to retrieve password
IP address or hostname of fencing device (together with --port-as-ip)
Privilege level on IPMI device (callback|user|operator|administrator) (Default Value: administrator)
Bridge IPMI requests to the remote target address
Login name
Disable logging to stderr. Does not affect --verbose or --debug-file or logging to syslog.
Verbose mode. Multiple -v flags can be stacked on the command line (e.g., -vvv) to increase verbosity.
Level of debugging detail in output. Defaults to the number of --verbose flags specified on the command line, or to 1 if verbose=1 in a stonith device configuration (i.e., on stdin).
Write debug information to given file
Display version information and exit
Display help and exit

Wait X seconds after issuing ON/OFF (Default Value: 2)
Wait X seconds for cmd prompt after issuing command (Default Value: 3)
Sleep X seconds between status calls during a STONITH action (Default Value: 1)

Count of attempts to retry power on (Default Value: 1)
Use sudo (without password) when calling 3rd party software
Path to sudo binary (Default Value: /usr/bin/sudo)

ACTIONS

Power on machine.
Power off machine.
