htsserver(1) General Commands Manual htsserver(1)

NAME

htsserver - web server for the WebHTTrack interface

SYNOPSIS

htsserver <path-to-html-root-dir> [option value ..] [key value ..]

DESCRIPTION

htsserver serves the WebHTTrack interface, a set of HTML pages that drive the httrack(1) engine from a web browser. It listens on 127.0.0.1 by default and prints the address to open on a line starting with URL=. Most users start it through webhttrack(1), which also opens the browser.

The first argument is the directory that holds the interface pages and the language files, usually /usr/share/httrack/. The options and the key/value pairs come after it. The help and version options must come first instead.

OPTIONS

listen on this port (default: the first free port from 8080)
listen on this address (default: 127.0.0.1)
exit when the interface started by this launcher process is closed
with --ppid, how long a browser window that stops answering counts as open (default: 120)
any other pair sets a value the interface reads, such as path or lang
print this help and exit
print the version and exit

EXAMPLES

serve the interface in English
keep the projects in /tmp/mirrors

DIAGNOSTICS

Each mirror started from the interface writes its errors and warnings to hts-log.txt in the project directory.
