NAME¶
crumb - self-hosted agent harness and natural-language terminal
SYNOPSIS¶
crumb [--resume session-id]
crumb exec [options] request
crumb completions shell
crumb mcp serve
DESCRIPTION¶
Crumb is an interactive shell with an optional supervised agent runtime. Ordinary shell commands work without an AI provider. Agent execution remains subject to the user's configured permissions and approval policy.
The Debian build reads provider credentials from environment variables. It does not include native desktop keyring support or remote Sigstore marketplace verification.
INTERACTIVE COMMANDS¶
- /help
- Display the interactive command reference.
- /version
- Display the installed Crumb version.
- /exit
- Leave Crumb.
FILES¶
- ~/.config/crumb/
- Per-user configuration and credential references.
- .crumb/
- Project-local state, policies, skills, and session data.
SECURITY¶
Crumb does not allow a model to grant itself additional permissions. Review requested commands and workspace changes before approving them. Report private security issues using the process in the upstream SECURITY.md file.
