DICOMIMPORT(1) General Commands Manual DICOMIMPORT(1)

NAME

dicomimport — import a DICOM file into CTSim's native format

SYNOPSIS

dicomimport dicom-file output-file [OPTIONS]

DESCRIPTION

dicomimport reads dicom-file and writes output-file in CTSim's native format. What is written depends on what the DICOM file holds: a reconstructed image becomes an image file, while raw scan data stored in the Siemens SOMATOM AR.STAR private element becomes a projection file that can be reconstructed with pjrec(1) or pjfourier(1).

Rescale Slope and Rescale Intercept are applied on import, so pixel values are in the units the file declares rather than raw stored values.

DICOM support uses the DCMTK library.

Every tool is run through ctsim-nogui, as in "ctsim-nogui dicomimport ...", or directly if a symbolic link of that name points at it.

The arguments and options are as follows:

dicom-file
Name of the input DICOM file
output-file
Name of the output file (.pj for projections, .if for an image)
Report progress and details while running.
Print the CTSim version and exit.
Print the usage summary and exit.
